| How to insert HTML script into the "head" in MS Publisher 2007? PatDPT 16:51:44 |
| | I am using MS Publisher 2007 (of Office 2007 beta) to build my website, and I am trying to add script to the "head" of the page. I have found the option to add an "HTML code fragment", but I can't figure out how to select where the code goes into the page...such as in the "head"', in the "body", etc. Any ideas?
Thank you for your time.

| where are all the other months? Boywonder 16:32:27 |
| | I have been experimenting with MSPUB2000 making webpages.
I tried making 2 different sites with the wizard.
I put calendars on each site, and saved the pages in html format each batch in their own site folders.
When I saved the site in html, it correctly generates an image file of a calendar month. Ex: img7.gif = june.
I looked at each site foler in thumbnail mode. I can see the img7.gif month image = june.
I see the june calendar, but where are all the other months?
I also looked on the index and calendar pages for scripts, no scripts.
How do they do that? The month has to change, doesn't it?
Sounds dumb, but I am mystified. MSPUB seems to be a real simple way of generating a page, but I want to be sure.

| Re: How do I password protect one hyperlink on a website I'm building? DavidF 01:34:44 |
| | You don't password protect hyperlinks, you protect folders. Go to your ISP and read about how they password protect folders, and then put the webpage that you want to password protect in the protected folder.

| Opening hyperlinks in new or existing window tomZ 04:27:04 |
| | G'day, using Publisher 2000
I've read David Bartosik's "Hyperlinks that open a new browser window" http://msmvps.com/blogs/dbartosik/archive/2006/01/13/81266.aspx and reviewed postings in the n/g. I understand how to force links to open in a new window.
However....... I thought I saw/read ?somewhere? that there was a "global" setting in MS Publisher that would set all links to open in new windows instead of the default 'current window'. Naturally, I may have been hallucinating (bad ice in my drinks ;), but if this sounds familiar to any one else, I'd appreciate any response.
Thanks again to DavidB and DavidF for contributing so much of your knowledge. Your, and all contributors', answers to posts are greatly appreciated.
Cheers, tomZ

| I was using Pub 2000, how can I do the following again ? EtPlus 04:24:37 |
| | My website has categories. For example, the main page, a daytime section, primetime etc.., in the earlier versions of my website, all of them was under one publisher file. I started having problems cause I had over 50 pages on them so decided to create a seperate pub file for each section and to upload them in seperate folders on the web. So www.website.com/Daytime/ had the files for Daytime. I just had to put the links that corresponded to each directory and articles and it was fine. Here is my problem with Pub 2007.
You can save your pages only to ways. Either you have the index.htm and the foler index_files. So every page besides the index comes from this folder. So now, I have to redo all my links to include the /index_files/ in it.
Or, you can decide not to put those files in that folder. The stupid thing that happens, is that Publisher goes and adds index_ in front of every page name. So I I linked my main section to a link in the daytime section, I have to add the index_ in front. It looks like anyway I want to do it, it won't just save the files like the old 2000 did ? Is there a solution for this, or am I doomed to just revert back to the old program !

| Table Not showing properly. Kevin Chi 17:57:46 |
| | Hi,
I have recently created my website using Publisher 2003. I have used tables on most of the pages. When I tested the website on my PC, everything looks fine but, when I uploaded the pages to my web host and try to view it using IE, some of the tables looked mis-aligned. The funny thing is when I use Firefox to view the page, everything looks fine.
Does anyone know of this problem and can suggest if there is any settings on IE (or Publisher) that I can change to get it to view my website properly?
Any help would be very much appreciated.
Thank you in advance.
Regards, Kevin
