| Hyperlink to open a new window. Jb 03:30:48 |
| | I have a link page on my site and want the links to open in a new window. I Tried Connie Miller's answer box item at "http://office.microsoft.com/en-us/assistance/HA011587451033.aspx". Using the ECMAScript code method, the link does not execute and I get "Error on page" in the status bar. What's wrong?

| How to insert frame in web page being made in Publisher? Ron W . 18:04:02 |
| | Does Publisher provide a utility allowing for insertion of a frame in which one can scroll the content? I have a "long-narrow" text box with a mix of typefaces and photos that I'd like people to be able to scroll - while the rest of the page remains stationary.

| can't move picture Guest 19:23:03 |
| | I am using Publisher solely to publish web pages to a server with FP Server Extensions. The website is just a hobby and I can't spend money on Frontpage. So all I'm trying to do is open previously created html files in Publisher, save them as pub files, then publish them to the server.
Each of the web pages is a one-column, two-row table with a picture centered in the top cell, and accompanying text in the bottom cell. When I open the file in Publisher the text is just fine but the image is right justified, not centered. I figured I could just drag the image to where I want it but I cannot move it at all. I can't drag it, nudge it, or anything. When I try to drag it the outline of the picture drags but when I release the mouse button nothing has changed.
Any ideas?
Thanks,
randomonia

| Who wants a job? Service8.com.au 18:00:50 |
| | Hi all,
I am looking for someone to build me a professional looking modern web site.
Flash media would be nice or a nice intro.
I have published my own DIY site for now, but want a more corporate design with graphics. I know what I would like, however I don't have the skills to implement it.
I would be willing to pay someone to design one for me at a reasonable cost.

| Site Hi-Jack John Ahern 17:54:50 |
| | This may not be an entirely relevant question for this forum but can anyone please tell me what's going on with GOOGLE? For many years in the past I could do a search for any of my items/products contained in any of the 16/17 pages of my website and the search engines would find that page easily but now GOOGLE has allowed various sites like 'Hotfrog' and 'Kellysearch' and many others to HI-JACK my page titles and if you want to find my 'Lincot Socks' (reg trademark), or 'Mattress Covers', Yakka Wear' or even MY NAME 'John Ahern' the results that come up will be these OTHER sites offering links to MY pages (if you can ever find them in there - I can't!) and some of the sites won't even allow you to reach ME until you register with THEM first!! You hve to scroll through a hundred results before you find any reference to my pages now.
Is there something I can do to rectify this when uploading my pages? Could it be that I lost my rating when my site was down for a few days some weeks ago and if so will it improve as time goes on? Would the number of 'hits' on my site make a difference to it's rating? The other search engines are doing the job OK but what's the use to my little business when most people are using Google?
Any advise appreciated, John in South Australia

| misdirected mvp responses Jb 22:38:10 |
| | Trying to get more web design info for Publisher 2003. Many question refer to "http://www.publishermvps.com/Default.aspx?tabid=30" but, unless I am not understanding what to do when I get there, I find no reference to the questions I need answered.
Specifically interested in "how to open a new window from a page in my website". Hope you can guide me. Thanks in advance.

| hyperlink to heading on different page 4dogspal 21:35:02 |
| | After experiencing initial disappointment that I could easily hyperlink to headings on different pages in Word but not in Publisher for websites, I set about trying to learn HTML. I finally figured out how to edit headings, fonts, alignments, etc., and learned how to link to a heading on the same page. I've been searching online tutorials trying to figure out how to link directly to a heading on a different page. I can't find any that teach how to do that type of linking. Is it impossible with HTML? Can any of you computer gurus help me? Thanks!
