Trouble publishing Scorzany 19:57:58
 Hello,

I have tried days and days to research and look up information (including
here) but I just can't make heads or tails of what I'm doing wrong.

I am using MS Publisher 2002
I have created a page.
I have webspace

What do I do after I finish with the page? Please just assume I have just
finished it and have not saved it or anything.

I have read a bunch of information on responses to other people's posts but
something is wrong. I think part of it is that I don't have a "Publish to
Web" option under the file heading when I have the document open.

Please bear with me. This is my first time trying to put a page on the web.

Re: How do I add a descriptive web address to a specific page in p Mike D 02:44:06
 David,
Thanks. Is it possible to upgrade the site I created in Publisher 2002 to
2003 and gain the ability to do what I'm trying to do? Is there any work
around that I can try to ultimately make the change I am trying to do?

Thanks for your help.

Re: Is Publisher 2000 easier than 2003? John Ahern 16:39:19
 Thanks for the advice David.

Trying to find time to read all the links but in the meantime I have
re-installed PUB 2000. I converted my pages back to that and uploaded them
but there is still no reduction in the inflated graphics and the browser
takes ages to open them. Is there an easy way to get them all back to their
original size - they were so fast before I went to PUB 2003. I may have to
stay with PUB 2003 anyway as the 2000 is trying to open files without
success.

Another problem is the cantering of my page and I will attempt to fix this
with the advice on 'Patty's' page.

Any other advice appreciated if you have time to look at my page

Thanks again, John

How do I publish a Web Site created with Publisher 2002? Ana 23:10:41
I created a Web Site with Microsoft Publisher 2002. However, I cannot find
the way to publish it into the Web.
The help section is not helpful and the directions in Yahoo are asking me to
go to "publish to the web" from Publisher's file menu but that alternative
does no exist in my Publisher's file menu.
I have tried to call my Internet Service Provider but they never answer the
phone or e-mails.
Thank You Very Much

C program that converts all object positioning in HTML from pixels to points - helps cross platform Beamguy 05:03:29
 Dear Group,

Previously I have described a "feature" of publisher where it positions some elements
in units of points, and other elements in units of pixels. This leads to considerable issues
with formatting when viewing the webpage on a monitor that has a different scaling
between points and pixels than the microsoft default. This program can be used as
a post processor to convert all positions specified in pixels to points. It works well
for me and my webpages. Feel free to distributed it if you see fit.

Regards,
Mike

How do I delete a website once it is published? 4dogspal 03:47:10
I'm using Publisher 2003 and want to try uploading what I have to the web
temporarily and then remove it. Yes, I've used the preview feature, but I
want to make sure I can make this happen with my ISP. If not, I want to work
on that issue while I'm trying to finish the website. Thanks!

Uploading Images to site Khj237 00:19:29
I believe that I have tried everything. When I preview my site, it looks
fine. When I follow the instructions to upload (ftp), that all seems to work
fine. But, when I go to my site the pictures are not there. They are .gif
and .jpg files. The tables come in fine and the links even work on the
"broken" pictures. Am I uploading the picture files wrong? Do they have
some type of protection on them since I borrowed them from an affiliate site
(actually I am the affiliate and am trying to use some of the owner's
pictures on my site)? Nothing seems odd about the pictures. I used the
Publisher "check" command (I forget what it called exactly) and It says that
there is nothing wrong with my single page site. I use godaddy as a host and
they say to use ftp.
Please help.
