A few weeks ago I created a DVD+R using a new DVD recorder (CyberHome). The instructions said I needed to "finalize" the DVD before it would play.
I used the recorder's finalize function, which worked ok, but the DVD would not play on the old Toshiba player.
I created the DVD a second time, and "finalized" it using Nero 6.
Problem is that now I can't figure out how I did it!
So, I know it can be done; just can't remember how.
Will appreciate your pointing me to the Nero application that lets you finalize DVDs that have been previously created.

IIRC, "Finalize disc" is a checkbox option on the window that pops open when you select to burn in nero6
I have a machine that will now finalize some of my dvd's and I see where someone has used nero to finalize dvd's that will work in all machines. Can you tell me how to do this. Thanks Lendall email me and let me know
I have a dvd that has not been finalized and it will not play on any dvd player but the dvd recorder that recorded the dvd. It plays fine on that dvd player but that player recorder will not finalize the dvd. How do I finalize it. Above some one said nero 6 would finalize the dvd. How do you do this and where do you get nero 6. I have it somewhere on my computer but i cant find it now. Please send your response to mrlv@centurytel.net Thanks Lendall
In Nero Burning ROM, Select your DVD burner drive that has the un-finalized DVD±R, then click the "Disc Info" button (Ctrl+I), then when the information window opens, at the bottom there should be a "DVD R Options" button, click this and then choose "Finalize VR Disk". After a few minutes your un-finalized DVD±R will now be finalized.
