Okay, I've done that. MSN requires authentication, and I've entered that information as well. MSN also requires encryption (SSL), and I don't see a way to do that.

I've used stunnel with Xnews for secure nntp, but never for smtp. I imagine it would work fine. Just google for stunnel and smtp and you should find what you need.
