how can I multi-region my pc's DVD-rom

 Hi,
I have just fitted an LG DVD-rom drive (GDR - 8163B) into my son's computer.
It is set to Region2, and if I put a Region 1 DVD into it I get a window
come up prompting me to hange the region........

....... however it warns that I can only do this 4 times. Then, it seems, it
will stick (for life) on what it is on after the final change.


Does anyone know of a patch/software download that I can get for it to
either, make it region free.. or to make the changes unlimited.

The OS is XP Home... if that is relevant.
