It is unwieldy to have to go into the BIOS in order to see my CPU and MOBO temperatures. Hasn't anyone come up with a little utility yet that runs in W98 and even WXP to display those temperatures on a running basis?
If you just want to be able to "spot check" your temps, try Everest Home Edition...it will show you CPU, Motherboard, and HD temp, plus fan speeds and voltages in a Windows program. It's not running in the system tray, so it's not using resources constantly.
Search for a program called "SpeedFan". It does temperatures as well as fan speeds. I use it to show CPU temp in the system tray.
