Accounting Question C J Booker 20:41:35 |
| | I needed to write a check from our checking account to our savings account, both at the same bank. In QuickBooks, the check debits the income account, but how do I make the deposit to the savings account when we have no {censored} account for the offset of the income account? Background: We are putting funds from building rents into a savings account for improvements to the buildings. Guess I should have done this as a transfer instead of by check. |

| | Hello, I'm working on a project where I need to zip up a folder that contains files and subfolders. I have tried Archive::Zip but have no luck with it, can someone help? Others have said that there is no way to zip everything, only a folder at a time. Is that true? Any help will be appreciated, thanks Ted |

Building an Inventory Management System Roger Jansen 07:28:28 |
| | I am the building engineer for a large facility in Illinois. It is over 600,000 sq ft in size. It is in the building phase at the moment. We currently have a very good work order system. We are going to migrrate the work order program over to the new facility. However, our spare parts were never loaded into the system correctly. It was haphazard at best. Every mechanic entered his parts his own way. We now have a severe mess. I do not want to have the same mess follow me to my new facility. We can call and I.D. our parts anyway we want. That is the problem/brilliance of the system that it allows us the opportunity to do as we wish. Therein lies the problem. We have several different ideas and currently ways to ID our parts. So here is my question. What is the best way to catergorize and ID the parts? We have everything from electronic locks to toilet parts to HVAC controls to pipe nipples and even light bulbs. We can't seem to decide or figure out the best way to ID the parts so everyone can find them when they are trying to load them onto the work orders for budgets and billing purposes? So we have a beautiful and very open work order system but too many ideas and all that seem to be not working on how to ID, log and catergorize our parts inventory... Any Ideas?????????????? HELP!!! |
