I think that sysinit.obj is found in a C++ Builder system but your message is posted here in the newsgroup for the old Borland C++ compiler. Try asking in one of the newsgroups with the word 'cppbuilder' in the name. For instance:

When Iam trying to compile an empty project, Iam> receiving a message from the linker:>
[Linker Error] Unable to open file 'SYSINIT.OBJ'.>
Can anyone give me a hint how to overlap this> problem ?
I received same error message. Survey the folder "C:\Program Files\Borland\CBuilder6\Lib\Obj\". In that folder, 'SYSINIT.OBJ' file have to exist. If not, copy the file from BCB install CD. I don't know why the *.obj files were deleted.
