| About ZideLook Marco De Vitis 13:59:08 |
| | Hello, I'm looking at opengroupware.org because I'd like to find a way to share Outlook's contacts, calendar and tasks between some Win2000/XP clients in a small LAN where we have a Linux server (Mandrake, using Samba to act as file server and PDC). We do not need a mailserver, just the three functionalities mentioned above. So I have some questions about Outlook integration:
- when using the ZideLook plugin, does Outlook work _exactly_ as if it was accessing a local .pst file? I mean: will the unexperienced users notice any differences?
- what happens if one of the clients is a notebook, and I want the data to be accessible also from a local user account on the notebook when the PC is used outside the office? Is there a way to keep a local copy of the data, so that the local account can access it?
- as far as I can tell, currently _no_ open source or freeware software exists which can help share Outlook's contacts, calendar and data, right?
- supposing the answer to the previous question was "yes", the next question is: why? I mean: is it due to some sort of license the developers have to pay to Microsoft to make the Outlook integration possible? Or simply because it's a lot of hard work and must be rewarded? In other words, let's suppose a developer has lots of free time available and wants to develop an open source equivalent of ZideLook; is this a possibility, or just fantasy?
Thanks a lot in advance.

| Evolution <-> OpenXchange. Cant write appointments etc.!? Artur M cke 17:05:56 |
| | Hi I am trying to get Evolution (Version 2.6.12.1) work with my OpenXchange-Server.
I setup a new calendar with the following settings in Evolution:
======================================================================== Name: OX URL: webcal://mydomain.com/servlet/webdav.ical?enabledelete=yes Username: MyUser ========================================================================
The connection is working already. My appointments which I created in the webinterface are downloaded without any problems to my Evolution client program. But If I try to create a new appointment with Evolution, I get the following error:
======================================================================== Cannon create a new event
You have read-only calendar source selected. Change to Calendar View and highlight a calendar that can accept appointments. ========================================================================
Neither I can delete existing appointments. The delete option is not clickable.
I hope someone can help me out!?
Cheers,
Artur

| OXtender Problem with Outlook Meeting Requests and
Multiple Accounts Michael Mehl 13:30:17 |
| | Hi,
I'm using Microsoft Outlook 2007 (version 12.0.6023.5000) on a Windows Vista system with the OXtender version 6.0.3.0-h1 and have the following problem:
- I have one email account created in Outlook, my private one, which is hosted on an Open-Xchange server including contacts, calendar etc.
- I have a second email account, my business account, which is NOT hosted on an Open-Xchange server, but simply a POP3/SMTP account.
When I receive meeting requests through my business account, they are correctly transfered into my calendar, works perfect. But I'm absolutly unable to send any confirmation or cancellation for such a meeting request - through my private account as well as through my business account.
I did understand from some posting on the internet, that it might cause trouble due to synchronization issues, if I could send meeting confirmations 'without' Open-Xchange, that's fine. But I really have serious trouble with not being able to send response to such request AT ALL?
Can anybody help me and tell me how to be able to send answer to meeting request even WITH OXtender? I really need this unfortunately for business purpose.
Thanks, Michael

| Image Object Changes Tobias Greitzke 15:56:01 |
| | Dear ZMS-Developers,
I'm missing the resizing and supersize options of the Image Object in the latest build (2.10.4-32). Is there a reason or is this just a mistake?
Best regards Tobias Greitzke

| [1.4] FCKEditor Richard Frovarp 19:24:17 |
| | If you create a new page, delete existing content, then insert a table and hit save, an error is thrown that seems to indicate that the resulting page is not validated against whatever it uses to validate (DTD, Schema, RelaxNG, haven't looked). Anyone know how to get FCKEditor completely working?
Thanks,
Richard
