| cfexecute mysql windows Joe Velez 03:50:20 |
| | hi -
im running cfmx6 w/ mysql 3+ and im trying to execute the following tag:
<cfexecute name='c:/mysql/bin/mysql.exe' arguments='-u #username# --password=#password# -h localhost #database# < c:/sql.sql'> </cfexecute>
However, whenever I run this rather than it executing correctly I recieve the mysql debug info explaining how to use mysql.exe
If I run everything from the command line everything executes just fine. i.e. c:>c:/mysql/bin/mysql.exe -u #username# --password=#password# -h localhost #database# < c:/sql.sql'
If it's not obvious, I'd naturally use my username, password and database in place of the # #. =)
Any suggestions?
Thanks,
Joe

The Details: First: INSERT INTO DocsList (DocsList_ID,filename) VALUES (746,'H:\UpLoadImages\CmosPic.jpg')
then sometime later we Check4Duplicate with: SELECT * FROM DocsList WHERE FileName = 'H:\UpLoadImages\CmosPic.jpg'
This Retuns ZERO Records found.
but I can see the record plain as day in the database and in reports etc...
when I do it with simpler things like 'CmosPic.jpg' there are no problems
???
any clues will be very appreciated!

| a little good-natured snooping Paul 03:50:02 |
| | Hi all,
A client I had quite some time ago asked me to password protect his site - a request made after the site was already complete. He didn't want to pay for a proper solution, so I basically created some a static password cookie-based system. Now he says his former partner gained access to his site without a password, though I think it's much more likely that his partner just got ahold of a password.
I wonder if any of you would like to try to view this page - try to get past the password challenge without knowing the legitimate passwords. If you can do it I'd like to know how you did it. (Because it's a weaker-than-normal scheme I don't doubt it's possible, but I'm resistant to his insistence that a joe-shmoe could "hack" his way in.)
Anyway give it a spin if you're interested: http://www.mcglogistics.biz <http://www.mcglogistics.biz/>
2 more things: Firefox pukes on the site. (standards shmandards, I used to say.). Also it's not any sensitive data at all - just brochureware he decided he needed to control access to. So I'm not at all worried about handing over the keys to the kingdom by inviting your snooping.
TIA
paul

| Inserting two fields from a select box Richard Colman 03:50:01 |
| | I would like to insert data into two fields from a single drop-down select box.
For example,
<select name="leadertrailer"> <option value="AccII,CGCG"> AccII .... </select>
So, I would like to insert AccII into field1 and CGCG into field2.
I suppose that I could parse the string at the comma, then assign them to temporary variables on the action page, and then do the insert. Seems like an ugly way to do it.
Anything simpler out there?

| included cfif error Daniel Kessler 03:50:00 |
| | I have two includes, where one contains the beginning of a cfif and the other contains the end of the cfif, with the content in the middle: <cfinclude template="../template_blocks/content_block_1.cfm"> <!--- content ---> <!--- end content ---> <cfinclude template="../template_blocks/content_block_2.cfm">
Here's the code in the includes:
<!--- content_block_1.cfm ---> <div class="margin_8 orange_link"> <cfoutput> <img src="#request.imagesdomain#spacer.gif" border="0" height="5" width="0"><br> <cfif isDefined('cookie.empower_login')> <!--- end content_block_1.cfm --->
<!--- content_block_2.cfm ---> <cfelse> To use this page, please first <a href="#request.commondomain#login_form.cfm">login</a>. </cfif> </cfoutput> </div> <!--- end content_block_2.cfm --->
This code works fine when not in the includes, but separated and made into includes, I get an error, "Context validation error for tag cfif" which refers to the <cfif isDefined('cookie.empower_login')>. I thought I'd broken up cfif statements into two pieces of an include before, but maybe not.
Any thoughts?
