upgrade from apache_1.3.12 to apache_2.0.39

 I am currently running apache_1.3.12 on a RedHat Linux 7.2 server. Because
of the recent security issues I would like to upgrade to either
apache_1.3.26 or apache_2.0.39 rather than applying the security patch for
httpd 1.2.0-1.3.22. Could someone please give me the exact steps and
commands I need to perform to accomplish my goal? Thanks!
