The forbidden error is because it is pointing to the wrong folder

Ok, you need to take a look at the DirectoryIndex setting for your virtual host, if you don't have one have a look for DirectoryIndex that is mentioned in the top of the document

This will give you a list of valid filenames to call your index page for your web site, its generally

index.html
index.htm

If you are using a Windows machine you need to put the UNC path of the directory in the virtual web, like the example I sent. If it was working, and you do not point to a specific file, it should still work, but it will display the directory contents instead of a web page.

Okay I have tried to chmod 777 all the directories and files.. and still
getting a forbidden error message.

I copied the <directory> structure from the Default.. (since that is
working) and still nothing..

Do I have to give apache the rights in the folder ( I thought that is
what 777 did)

At this point I am totally lost. Someone please help
