How to burn DRM encrypted iTunes 8 music to MP3 terry007 05:56:22
Are you annoyed by iTunes DRM? Do you want to strip it off because you want to play the iTunes music on other mobile devices other than iPod and iPhone, use it as background music in a home video, or anything else that DRM limits it to do? Many people know you can strip off the DRM off iTunes music by simply burning the song to a CD, and ripping it back over, losing very little quality(if settings are correct):

1. Insert a CD-R or CD-RW disc into your CD-ROM drive. You'd better use CD-RW disc as it can be used for more than once.
2. Burn your playlist to make an audio CD. You cannot select the MP3 CD option since it requires the encrypted iTunes music files be converted to unprotected MP3 files.
3. After the audio CD is successfully burned, insert the disc into your CD-ROM drive again. Then you can use iTunes to import the music tracks on the burned disc to MP3 files.

And the method I am going to introduce does the same exact thing but you will not need a CD-RW disc, a CD ROM drive, or even need to burn anything! It's that simple. Let's show you how to perform this.

We are going to be using a program called TuneClone(http://www.tuneclone.com ). TuneClone is basically a program that acts as a virtual CD drive that allows you "burn" MP3 from iTunes and "rip" it. TuneClone "lies" to your computer saying that you have a CD-RW drive that it will burn to (like Alchohol 120%). You can use this to move your library of M4P DRM protected music to the MP3 format that you can use on any player out there worth its salt. This is a useful tool for anyone looking to break their relationship with the iPod. The best part is that it maintains all of the music file's metadata. Below is the step by step tutorial that shows how it works:

1. Download TuneClone from http://www.tuneclone.com and install it.

TuneClone is fully compatible with Windows XP and Windows Vista. A virtual CD Burner will be installed. This virtual CD-RW will be used to convert music files.

2. Make settings at TuneClone

Click the Settings button at TuneClone. In the pop-up window, you can specify the output folder, output filenames, output format, etc. for the output files.

Note: Apart from MP3, TuneClone also allows you to convert iTunes M4P to WAV and unprotected WMA.
Tip: You can get the output protection removed music folder by clicking the Folder button after the whole process.

3. Make settings at iTunes(iTunes 8 )

Create a playlist, and then add the files you want to convert into the playlist.

After you have created the playlist ready to be burnt, click the Burn Disc in the bottom right of iTunes.

In the pop up window of Burn Settings, make the settings as highlighted below:

4. Start to burn

Click the Burn button to start burning.

After the burning gets started, TuneClone will automatically convert the music file to MP3, WMA or WAV. You can open the manager screen to show all the converted music files.

The most important step is to choose the CD burner. Then the software can convert the music files automatically. It is exceedingly easy when you want to batch convert lots of files.

How to import iTunes M4P music to Windows Movie Maker terry007 03:43:50
Many people are fond of making slideshows on their Windows Movie Maker, however, it won't let them import any purchased music as it is DRM protected. Since iTunes store tops the music retailer in the world, the following tutorial focuses on how to convert purchased iTunes M4P music to MP3, WAV or unprotected WMA so as to import it to Windows Movie Maker project as background music. The tutorial is composed of the following three parts:

Part 1. Something about Windows Movie Maker

Windows Movie Maker is a totally free program that comes with Windows XP Home Edition, Windows XP Media Center Edition, Windows XP Professional, and Windows Vista. Below are the audio/video formats accepted by Windows Movie Maker:

Video files: .asf, .avi, .wmv
Movie files: MPEG1, .mpeg, .mpg, .mlv, .mp2
Audio files: .wav, .snd, .au, .aif, .aifc, .aiff
Windows media files: .asf, .wm, .wma, .wmv
MP3 format audio: .mp3

Part 2. Remove DRM from iTunes M4P music

The songs you purchased from iTunes store are under DRM protection. You cannot directly import them to your Windows Movie Maker project. However you can burn the protected music files to CD-R or CD-RW disc to make an audio CD and then use some CD ripper software to convert the audio CD track back to MP3, WAV, WMA, etc. And iTunes allows you to burn the protected music files to CD-R or CD-RW disc to make a standard audio CD:

1. Insert a CD-R or CD-RW disc into your CD-ROM drive. You'd better use CD-RW disc as it can be used for more than once.
2. Burn your playlist to make an audio CD. You cannot select the MP3 CD option since it requires the protected music files be converted to unprotected MP3 files.
3. After the audio CD is successfully burned, insert the disc into your CD-ROM drive again. Then you can use iTunes to import the music tracks on the burned disc to MP3 files.

The steps are very simple indeed. Yet, I'd like to introduce a practical application called TuneClone M4P to MP3 Converter(http://www.tuneclone.com ). It applies the virtual CD burning technology so that there is no need to use real disc. You can use it to move your library of M4P DRM protected music to the MP3 format that you can use on any player out there worth its salt. This is a useful tool for anyone looking to break their relationship with the iPod. The best part is that it maintains all of the music file's metadata. You can learn how to remove DRM from iTunes M4P music with TuneClone M4P to MP3 Converter from this guide(http://itunesm4ptomp3.wordpress.com/2008/07/04/how-to-convert-itunes-m4p-to-mp3-with-tuneclone/ ).

Part 3. Add the output DRM-free music to Windows Movie Maker

After you get the output DRM-free music by adopting either the disc burning/ripping method or virtual CD burning method discussed in Part 2, now you can begin to import it into your Windows Movie Maker project.

Click on File. Then click on Import. A window will appear. In the window, navigate to the sound or music file you want to add to your movie. Then double click on the file. You'll see the icon for the file in your Windows Movie Maker "collections". Click on the icon and drag it on to the timeline to the part of the video you want the sound or music to play.

Updated: How to convert iTunes protected AAC(M4P) to MP3(using iTunes 8) terry007 06:35:32
More than two months ago, I wrote a tutorial entitled How to Convert iTunes M4P to MP3(http://m4ptomp3.qaix.com/0-395-how-to-strip-drm-off-itunes-m4p-music-to-mp3-wma.zhtml). In that post, I introduced two ways to convert iTunes M4P(protected AAC) music to MP3: burning and ripping CD disc and using TuneClone(http://www.tuneclone.com). With the release of Apple genius iTunes 8, the second method of converting iTunes M4P(protected AAC) music to MP3 with TuneClone isn't applicable, as there's some difference between iTunes 8 and its previous version. So, I'd like to post the step by step tutorial about how to convert iTunes 8 protected AAC or say M4P music to MP3 with TuneClone below:

1. Download TuneClone and install it.

3. Make settings at iTunes

How to convert DVD movie, video, YouTube video to chromatic iPod nano treese 07:00:54
Below is the step by step tutorial about how to put DVD movies, video files and online YouTube video onto Apple Chromatic iPod Nano.

First, let’s take a look at the video formats the new iPod nano accepts:

H.264 video, up to 1.5 Mbps, 640 by 480 pixels, 30 frames per second, Low-Complexity version of the H.264 Baseline Profile with AAC-LC audio up to 160 Kbps, 48kHz, stereo audio in .m4v, .mp4, and .mov file formats;
H.264 video, up to 2.5 Mbps, 640 by 480 pixels, 30 frames per second, Baseline Profile up to Level 3.0 with AAC-LC audio up to 160 Kbps, 48kHz, stereo audio in .m4v, .mp4, and .mov file formats;
MPEG-4 video, up to 2.5 Mbps, 640 by 480 pixels, 30 frames per second, Simple Profile with AAC-LC audio up to 160 Kbps, 48kHz, stereo audio in .m4v, .mp4, and .mov file formats.

In order to enjoy DVD movies, video files and YouTube videos on the iPod nano, you need to rip the DVD movies and convert the video files to the video formats iPod nano recognizes, and then transfer the output video files to your iPod nano with the sync of iTunes Library.

The tool you will need is Clone2go DVD to iPod Converter(http://www.clone2go.com/products/dvdtoipod.php ). And below are the detailed steps:

1. Add DVD movies, video files or YouTube video

Insert the DVD disc into the disc drive, click the Open DVD button to import it if you are going to enjoy a DVD movie on your iPod nano. Or if the DVD movie is saved as a folder on your computer, you need to click the Add Video button to locate that folder, which is composed of two separate folders: VIDEO_TS and AUIDO_TS. From the VIDEO_TS folder, select the .vob file to import and then click OK.

You can also import videos stored on your PC by clicking the Add Video button. The supporting formats are shown as follows:

If you want to enjoy online YouTube videos on your iPod nano, click the YouTube button on the main interface. In the pop-up windows, copy and paste the URLs of the YouTube videos one by one. There will be a list of the added YouTube videos, which will be downloaded automatically one by one. And the downloading status is clearly shown on the list. After the status of all of them indicates Completed, you can tick whichever videos you want to watch on your iPod nano.

After the DVD movies, video files or YouTube videos are imported, you can preview it on the main interface. If you only want a clip of the DVD/video, you can drag the Start to trim and Stop to trim button to get the certain segment.

2. Choose a proper profile

From the drop-down list of Profile, you can select the most appropriate profile:

Note: From the profile graph above, we can learn Clone2go DVD to iPod Converter also applies to converting DVD movies, video files and online YouTube video to video formats for iPod touch, iPod classic, iPhone, Apple TV, etc.

3. Start to encode

Now you can click the Start Encode button to starting ripping DVD movies, converting videos or downloading and converting online YouTube videos for your iPod nano.

Note: The output video files are easily available by simply clicking the <em>Folder</em> button on the main menu after the ripping/converting process is done.

4. Move the output files to iPod nano

Open iTunes, click File on the main menu. From the drop-down list, select Add File to Library or Add Folder to Library. And now you can put the converted files or folder to the iTunes Library. Connect your iPod nano to PC and now you can transfer the converted videos to your iPod nano with the sync of iTunes.

How to edit a DVD movie with Windows Movie Maker jovbon1 09:48:46
If you want to edit a DVD movie with Windows Movie Maker or import several DVD clips into Mac iMovie to build a new DVD, but you get frustrated with the DVD format, this guide may help you solve the problem.

Before you get started, it will be helpful if you learn something about the DVD, WMM and iMovie.
General DVDs have CSS copy protection in MPEG-2 or VOB format.
(Windows) Windows Movie Maker supports WMV, AVI and MPG video files.
(Mac) iMovie accepts MOV and MPEG4 video files.

This guide includes three parts;

1. How to put DVD movie into Windows Movie Maker.
2. How to add DVD clips to Apple Mac iMovie
Tip: How to convert MSWMM file to other video formats.

Part1. How to put DVD movie into Windows Movie Maker

Step1. To put a DVD movie into Windows Movie Maker, you have to rip your DVD to WMV or AVI video first, and then you can load it into Windows Movie Maker. I’d prefer using Aimersoft DVD Ripper to do this. You can get this program at: http://www.aimersoft.com/dvd-ripper.html
Then install and run it, put your DVD disc into your DVD drive, click “Load DVD” to locate your DVD file and import it, or load it by clicking “Load File” to add DVD IFO file. (This DVD Ripper can rip copyright protected DVD movies, but you should remember that it’s illegal rip DVD for any business purposes)

Step2. Select output format and subtitle
After you load the DVD files, click the format drop-down list to select “WMV – Windows Media Video (*.wmv)” or “AVI – Audio Video Interleaved (*.avi)” as the output format. A regular DVD movie has multiple subtitles and audio tracks, and you can select the right one for you. If you just want a certain part of the DVD movie, you can click “trim” to cut the DVD movie. Just drag the timeline bar to set the start and end time, and then blue line will be the captured parts.

For advanced user, if you want to output higher quality video, click the “Settings” button to open the panel, here you can customize video bitrate, audio bitrate, resolution, framerate, etc. Higher bitrate will result in bigger file size.

Step3. Start to convert
After the above steps, you just need to click “Start” and wait for the conversion to be finished. It takes about 40 minutes to convert a common two hours DVD movie.

Step4. Edit DVD with Windows Movie Maker (optional)
Run Windows Movie Maker, in the “Movie Task” bar, click “Add Video” to browse your computer and located the converted files, and then you can start to make personal movies.

Tips: Many users may wonder how they can convert Windows Movie Maker file (*.MSWMM) to other video format. Actually, A *.MSWMM file is not a video file. It is a project file of Movie Maker (more like a record file). You have to open this file in Windows Movie Maker and save the movie to your computer: Go to Movie Tasks bar > Finish Movie > Save to my computer. After that you will have a WMV file which can be converted to another video format or burned to DVD.

Part2. How to add DVD clips into Apple iMovie
iMovie is similar to Windows Movie Maker, it supports MOV and MP4 video, so you just need to convert your DVD movie to the right format. Aimersoft DVD Ripper has a Mac Version which supports both Mac OS Tiger and Leopard; you can download it for free from here:
http://www.aimersoft.com/dvd-ripper-for-mac.html
The operation steps are similar to the windows version, so I will not bother to repeat everything here.

When the conversion is finished, you can run the iMovie, build a new project, and then drag the converted files to the work space to make personal files.

When the task is finished, In the Menu bar, Click "File" -> "Export" and save it as QuickTime video, then you can convert it to other video format or burn it to DVD. If you need detailed info, here is a step by step guide about how to export iMovie project to QuickTime.

How to Remove DRM from iTunes AAC M4V M4P on Win and Mac windbell 08:55:21
ITunes DRM files include AAC, M4V and M4P. If you don’t remove itunes DRM it’s impossible to play them on any Apple incompatible devices, like Zune, Creative Zen, PSP, mobile Phone, etc. This turns out really bad if you want to buy a new mp3 player which is not manufactured by Apple.

So, The way not to delete itunes DRM files, you could try some methods or programs that remove DRM off of the iTunes files. Please note that using programs might be illegal in the country where you are living, make sure you know what you are doing before downloading and using them.

1. Remove iTunes DRM protection using iTunes + CD-R
Follow these 5 steps:
Create an iTunes playlist containing your purchased songs.
Insert a blank CD-R or a CD-RW.
Burn the playlist to disk.
Re-import the songs after a successful burn.
Deleting the original purchased tracks.

2. Remove iTunes DRM with DRM software in Windows
One of these program is Daninusoft Media Converter Pro which can remove iTunes DRM with its newest version (2.2.1.0). The reason I list it here is the newest version has modified its two major disadvantages compare with the former one: 1. Be compatible with Vista OS. 2. Supports all iTunes DRM files. And with its original advantages: 1. High conversion speed. 2. Supports many other popular standard video and audio files. 3. Friendly-use interface. It could be a good choice for DRM remove and Media conversion.
You can free download Daniusoft Media Converter Pro from its official site:
http://www.wmatomp3-converter.com/digital-media-converter-pro.html

3. Remove iTunes DRM with Apple software in Leopard
The current iteration of iMovie released with the iLife '08 software bundle is iMovie 7.1. However, in order to remove DRM protection, you will need iMovie HD - previously bundled with iLife '06. Once downloaded and installed, start iMovie HD and 'Create a New Project' titled "DRM-free". Save the project to your Desktop.

In the iMovie window, select the 'Media' tab located between 'Themes' and 'Editing'. You will notice that the top right portion of the interface now offers a media browser. Select the 'Audio' tab and locate the playlist which contains purchased music, or search by artist / title.

Select the DRM-laden song and drag the file from the media browser into the iMovie timeline where it says "Drag audio here to build your project."

In order to export the song, iMovie requires that a visual image be associated with the audio track - iMovie thinks that it is going to be exporting a movie. Simply drag a blank image (or any other image) to the track above the previously imported audio file. Once iMovie has processed the image, select the 'Share…' sub menu item from found inside 'Share' in iMovie's menu bar.

Ensure that "Expert Settings" is selected in the "Compress movie for:" drop-down menu. Selecting 'Expert Settings' mode will provide the options to export the file as an audio file. Select the 'Share' button.
In the Save as… dialogue, select "Sound to AIFF" in the Export drop-down menu, Choose an appropriate directory for iMovie to export to, title the file, and select 'Save'. Depending on your machine configuration, iMovie will compress and export the movie project as an audio file in 15-40 seconds.

Locate the exported AIFF audio file and drag to your iTunes Library. Right-click on the file and select "Convert Selection to AAC". Once completed, 'Get Info' on the new file, edit meta data, add album art, and trash the originally purchased and AIFF audio files from your iTunes library

Ways to remove DRM from iTunes music on Windows and Mac terry007 06:43:21
There are many ways to remove DRM protection from iTunes music. On Windows OS, you can remove the DRM from iTunes music using the burn-and-rip method or you can turn to programs like TuneClone(http://www.tuneclone.com ) and DoubleTwist(http://www.doubletwist.com/). On Mac OS X, iMovie is the perfect solution to removing DRM from iTunes music. Besides, freewares like FairGame is also a pretty good choice. So this article is dedicated to introducing several methods of removing the nasty DRM from iTunes music on Windows and Mac OS X. It is divided into the following four parts:

Part 1. Remove DRM from iTunes music on Windows with burn-and-rip method

A. Insert a CD-R or CD-RW disc into your CD-ROM drive. You’d better use CD-RW disc as it can be used for more than once.
B. Burn your playlist to make an audio CD. You cannot select the MP3 CD option since it requires the protected music files be converted to unprotected MP3 files.
C. After the audio CD is successfully burned, insert the disc into your CD-ROM drive again. Then you can use iTunes to import the music tracks on the burned disc to MP3 files.

Part 2. Remove DRM from iTunes music on Windows with TuneClone

A. Download TuneClone from http://www.tuneclone.com/tuneclone_setup.exe and install it.

It is fully compatible with Windows XP and Vista. A virtual CD Burner will be installed. This virtual CD-RW will be used to convert music files.

B. Set the default CD Burner to TuneClon CD-RW at iTunes.

Click menu Edit, select menu item Preferences..., and then select Advanced Tab. In order to keep the artist and title information of the music, the Include CD Text option should be checked.

C. Create a playlist, and then add the files you want to convert into the playlist.

D. Click Burn Disc button at the bottom right of the main screen of iTunes.

While the burning gets started, TuneClone will automatically convert the music file to MP3, WMA or WAV. You can open the manager screen to show all the converted music files.

The most important step is to choose the cd burner. Then the software can convert the music files automatically. It is exceedingly easy when you want to batch convert lots of files.

Part 3. Remove DRM from iTunes music on Mac OS X with iMovie

In the iMovie window, select the 'Media' tab located between 'Themes' and 'Editing'. You will notice that the top right portion of the interface now offers a media browser. Select the 'Audio' tab and locate the playlist which contains purchased music, or search by artist/title.

Ensure that 'Expert Settings' is selected in the "Compress movie for:" drop-down menu.

Once completed, 'Get Info' on the new file, edit meta data, add album art, and trash the originally purchased and AIFF audio files from your iTunes library.

Part 4. Remove DRM from iTunes music on Mac OS X with FairGame

FairGame is freeware to remove DRM protection from iTunes music on Mac OS X. It will convert the DRMed songs you bought on the iTunes Store to an unprotected format (using iTunes default encoder) and keep all the original metadata, lyrics and artwork. FairGame doesn't do lossless DRM stripping. It re-encodes protected AAC files purchased in iTMS into unprotected AAC file using Apple's iMovie software.

What you MUST DO (only once) to get FairGame to work:

Enable "Access for assistive devices" in the "Universal Access" system preference
Select "Place clip in Movie Timeline" in the "Import" preference of iMovie HD

Then you can simply:

Select some songs in iTunes
Click on the "Process songs" button

Don't touch anything and wait until it's done...(FairGame is scripting iMovie's interface to process the songs, don't interfere)

New iPod touch 2G Guide jovbon1 07:16:51
A big surprise turn up at 9th Sep for all iPod fans – the new iPod touch 2G and

Nano 4G released. It’s really lucky and exciting to get a new iPod Touch 2G. And in order

to help iPod users to learn more about it, I collected some information for this new

iPod touch 2G guide
. And it also includes how to enjoy the mulitmedia on you new iPod

touch 2G such as download free video to iPod, convert DVD to iPod and

transfer music video from iPod to iPod and iPod to computer
.

Prize:

As expected, the biggest news with Apple's second-generation iPod Touch is its drastically

reduced price. The 8GB version of the iPod Touch 2G is now $229 (down from $299), the 16GB

is $299 (down from $399), and the 32GB is $399 (down from $499).

Size :

The new iPod touch 2G is smaller and lighter than the original, 3.5 inch touch-screen,

measuring 4.1 by 2.4 by 0.33 inches and weighing 4.05 ounces. With its rounded edges,

flush display and curved, more compact design, the iPod touch 2G is promised to be more

comfortable to hold and more portable than ever.

Game:

iPod touch 2G users can choose from hundreds of gaming titles such as "Spore Origins" and

"Scrabble" from Electronic Arts, and "Real Football 2009" from Gameloft available on

iTunes or directly through the App Store application on the iPod touch. The App Store

works over Wi-Fi, enabling users to browse, purchase and wirelessly download applications.

Battery and “Genius”:

The new iPod touch 2G promises up to 36 hours of music playback or six hours of video

playback on a single charge. It also works with the new iTunes 8 Genius feature, allowing

users to automatically create playlists while on the go. These playlists can also be

synchronized with iTunes 8 servers.

Others features in new iPod touch 2G:

Build-in accelerometer for casual listening; more convenient volume controll button on the

edge; the newest improvements “Nike+iPod” which can help you track your workouts by

slipping a Nike+iPod sensor into you Nike+ shoes.

Then, Let’s talk about how to enjoy multimedia on your New iPod touch 2G

Part 1: How to free download video to your new iPod Touch 2G

I always download free video and music from Youtube and limewire.

Youtube streaming videos are all FLV formats, so you need to play the video with a

flash player programe on your computer, and if you want to put them on your new iPod touch

2G, use a iPod video Converter to convert FLV to MP4 format.

I got this totally free Youtube downloader, just enjoy.

http://www.flash-on-tv.com/free-youtube-downloader.html

Limewire is a fast and popular freeware working on Windows, Linux and Mac OS.

Through the P2P (peer-to-peer) network, you can free download various video and audio

files by keywords searching. Most of its video formats is MPEG, so convert them and

transfer to your iTunes then iPod touch 2G.

http://www.limewire.com/

Part 2: How to convert DVD to iPod Touch 2G

The new iPod touch 2G can only play MP4 and H.264 video, but DVD movie is MEPG, MPEG-2

video and CSS protected, so you need an application to convert DVD to MP4 video, then sync

it to iPod touch 2G via iTunes.

To complete Part 1 and Part 2 I recommend you Aimersoft iPod converter suite which include a DVD to iPod converter

and video to iPod converter.

You can get familiar with the apps by using this detailed step by step guide:

http://www.aimersoft.com/tutorial/download-dvd-pdf-youtube-videoto-ipod.html

Part 3: How to convert files back to your computer and transfer between iPod

Because iTunes prevents you from copying music or video from the iPod touch 2G back to

computer, so you need a special tool to do that. Here are the free applications that can

do the job:

Yamipod: http://www.yamipod.com/main/modules/downloads/
Aimersoft: http://www.aimersoft.com/ipod-copy-manager.html
Sharepod: http://www.sturm.net.nz/website.php?Section=iPod+Programs&Page=SharePod
iDump: http://www.download.com/iDump/3000-2169_4-10407429.html

and then re-add it to your iTunes library and sync it to other iPod touch 2G.

If you want to rip DVD to AVI/MPEG/MP4/MOV/FLV/MP3 on Mac OS X such as Leopard, you can use Aimersoft DVD Ripper for Mac, it fully supports Intel processor and Power PC:
http://www.aimersoft.com/dvd-ripper-for-mac.html

Part 1. How to convert DVD to iPhone/iPod/PSP/Zune/Apple TV/Phone/Xbox/Zen/AVI/MPEG?
Step1. Insert your DVD disc into your DVD-Rom, then run the software, click "Load DVD" button and add the DVD file. You can also add DVD/IFO from your hard disk by clicking "Load File"

Step2. This software can convert DVD to various video formats such as MPEG-4, AVI, WMV, FLV, 3GP, VOB, etc. Click the "Format"drop down list to select a format. If you want to copy DVD to computer in 1:1 lossless quality, please select "Lossless DVD Copy (*.vob)".

If you don't know much about mobile players, just select a format according to the name of your mobile player. For example, if you want to copy DVD to the coming iPhone, just select "iPhone Video MPEG-4 (*.mp4)", and the default setting works great. If you want to customize the output video, you can click the "Settings" button next to the format field to open the Settings window and set video resolution, frame rate, bit rate, encoder, etc. See the figure below:

Step3. Select Subtitle and Audio
Regular DVD movies usually have several subtitles such as English, French, German, etc. You can select one you prefer. You can also delete the subtitle by selecting "No Subtitle". Selecting Audio is the same.

After the above steps, click "Start" to start conversion.

Tips:
If you want to copy DVD to iPod, this software has a free iPod Copy Manager; it can help you transfer the converted video to iPod directly without iTunes. Just connect your iPod to computer, click "Tools" -> "iPod Copy Manager", then you will see a pop up window (See the figure below), the left pane is the video and music list on your computer, the right pane is the file list on your iPod (you also can copy files from iPod to computer, it's useful if your computer crashes or you lose iTunes library), select the files you want to sync and click the right arrow button to finish the transfer.

For PSP, this software also provides a PSP Video Manager, click "Tool"-> PSP Video Manager, it fully supports all PSP firmware version (former 3.0 or 3.0 later), and the steps to transfer files to PSP is very similar.

Part2. How to edit, combine and crop DVD movie?
After you load the DVD file. If you want to cut the black edges of the DVD movie, you can click the "Crop" button, and then you will see a pop up windows (See the figure below). There is a frame in dashed line around the movie video; you can drag it to cut the black edges.

More over, you can click the Crop drop-down list to select a Crop model you prefer, for example: "Cut off top and bottom black edges". You can even type the number in the box to cut off black border accurately.

If you want to combine several DVD chapters into one file, on the main interface, there is a check box "Merge into one file", select it, then you will only get one output file instead of several files by chapters.

You can click the "Effect" button and customize the brightness, saturation, contrast, volume, etc (See the figure below). You can even apply special effects such as "Emboss", "Negative", "Old film" and "Gray" by selecting an effect from drop-down list.

Part3. How to extract audio from DVD to MP3 for iPod nano, shuffle, Zen and other MP3 players?
This software can extract and rip DVD audio track to MP3, WMA, WAV, AC3, AAC, M4A and so on, if you want to rip the music from DVD to your MP3 players such as iPod Nano, iPod Shuffle, Creative Zen, Zune and so on. After you load your DVD movie, in the main interface, select the output format as MP3, and then start conversion. If you want to get better music quality, you can select a higher audio bit rate and sample rate in the settings window.
After the conversion, drag the audio file to iTunes library, connect your iPod nano or iPod shuffle to your computer, and click iTunes "File -> Sync iPod", OK. If you don't have iTunes, you can download it for free from Apple official site
http://www.apple.com/itunes
For PSP, just copy the music to the "Music"folder on your memory stick.
For Zune, drag the music to the Zune software, and click "start sync".

Part4. How to put DVD clips on Youtube, Myspace?
This software can convert DVD to FLV format for Youtube, Myspace and other video download sites. So you can share your own DVD clips with friends. After your movie is imported, select FLV as the output video format. Then log in Youtube, Myspace upload your video. But a whole DVD movie might be very large. By default, this software will convert the whole DVD to one file; if you just want several chapters of the DVD, you can just select the chapters you want to convert (you can preview the DVD clip before converting it).
Or you can click "Trim" button to open the trim panel, drag the trim bar to set start time and end time to convert a clip from your movie. You can also type the exact time values in the Set Start Time field and Set End Time field to trim video.

Part5. How to put DVD to Windows Movie Maker?

To put a DVD movie into Windows Movie Maker, you have to rip your DVD to WMV or AVI video first(Windows Movie Maker supports WMV, AVI and MPG video files.), and then you can load it into Windows Movie Maker. I'd prefer using Aimersoft DVD Ripper to do this. just load the DVD files, click the format drop-down list to select "WMV - Windows Media Video (*.wmv)" or "AVI - Audio Video Interleaved (*.avi)"as the output format. select the suitable subtitles and audio tracks then click "Start" to start conversion

Then Run Windows Movie Maker, in the "Movie Task" bar, click "Add Video"to browse your computer and located the converted files, and then you can start to make personal movies.

Note: Rip official DVD movie is illegal, so make sure you are authorized before you rip them.
